Introduction
Koulouria are traditional Greek butter cookies that are loved for their delicate texture, rich buttery flavour, and beautiful twisted shapes. These golden biscuits are especially popular during Greek Easter, when families prepare trays of them to serve with coffee or share with guests.
Lightly sweet with a hint of vanilla and orange, koulouria have a crisp outside and a soft, tender centre. They are often shaped into braids, twists, or rings and brushed with egg wash to give them their signature golden shine. Simple yet delicious, these cookies are a beloved part of Greek baking traditions.
